Easy masking in flash - part two

Here is a easy tutorial for masking in flash

1. Open a new flash file and import your image . Place in any where you want on your stage.

2. Lock the layer that has your image on and create a new layer.



3. On our new layer draw a circle .... it doesn't matter what colour it is because we wont be able to see it any way. When your happy with the size of the circle select it and press F8 to CONVERT it to a movie clip call it any thing you want.. But because this is a masking tutorial we'll call it MASK



Part two is under neath :cool:

4. Now we need to create some KEY FRAMES. To do this, go about 20 key frames along your TIMELINE and right click both lines and select insert key frame



5. Now we need to select the top layer still on our timeline and we need to right click it and select CREATE MOTION TWEEN go to the last frame on this layer and resize your circle so its a bit larger and move it to a corner



6. Now right click the top layer on our timline and select MASK.



GO FILE>PUBLISH PREVIEW>FLASH and now you can watch your masking movie.

ohh yah the images r messed up as well because i just bought a server so i'll put them on the net to night

Enjoyed the tutorial. I tried to add a motion guide to the mask but could not get it to work. Any ideas?

I followed your instructions but nothing happened. Do I need to insert some motion tweening?
