I think writing articles and submitting them to different sites like http://www.devdreams.com/ is a better way of marketting your site. What did you people think ?
I agree for two reasons:
1. I want people to usbmit their articles to DevDreams
2. If there is a link back or something saying who the author is then it can be very benefficial
The main reason for which someone posts his article is for getting link, so if you can arrange for the back link to the author resource then it will be very much useful.
