PHP Sessions

Does anybody know where i can find some decent tutorials/articles for php sessions?

I need to create a admin section for a site but at the moment its running a simple php script which only hides one page which is useless as i need to branch and merge two sites together. Plus with this script people have to log in and then preform an action then log back in again (which is highly annoying).
