Is flash a good idea?

I now never use flash animations in my websites for various reasons such as:

Slow loading speeds
They can be annoying
Not SE friendly

So do you think that they are a good idea to use?

yes i suppose your right. If they are there to show something off or to promote something instead of just to inform someone then yeah I guess they would be fairly good
