Whats the best ways to get members??

I have just put a new site online, www.wm-forums.com.
I have always wondered how to get loads of members, do any of you know how i would get loads of members.

Offer something in return for them joining/posting.
It would be better to encourage them to post so that they stay actice...
As its a webmaster forum, maybe have s Forum Store where they can buy domains and/or hosting...

spamming is not the best way. For example if your doing it on a forum your post will be edited/moved/deleted and people will think of your site as being a bad site for trying to cheat into getting people to join.

> Put your link in all your forum signatures and regularly post
> Link exchange with related websites
> Tell your friends and relatives about it

I'd say get your 5 best friends to go n your forum and chat it up, that way it seems active already. Then do what Python did to me that brought me here, Help them :P

aww summoner why did you have to say that? Im one of his friends and he will no doubt ask me to do loads of posts for him. I was the one who set it up in the first place for him. Plus I own the domain, lol. And Im hosting it
